It’s gotten to be a bit of a tradition: I always go to the beach on Christmas Day and take pictures. So far I’ve never gone to the same place twice.

I had originally been talking about Northern California but the cost was too high. Instead, I think I’m going to indulge an impulse I have every time I do one of my I-285 loops. Just about every time I go through the tunnel — particularly if I’m eastbound at that point — I see the sign for I-75 toward Tampa and have the impulse to exit and go.

It’s about nine hours which is why I squelch it. That isn’t a weekend trip.

But since I’m planning on taking a couple days off right at Christmas, I think I’m going to indulge that impulse for my beach trip this year.
