Day 42: June 26, 2010

I missed the last two weekly 101 in 1001 updates. That’s not all I’ve missed. It has been a long few weeks for a lot of different reasons and, put bluntly, I fell off the wagon.

The nice thing about a project of this length is that you can climb back on if you need to. Screwing up a few weeks is not going to screw up the entire project. Here’s where I am now.

29. Visit a farmer’s market 15 times.

I visited Your Dekalb Farmer’s Market on the 12th, but I was not impressed and it is not what I call a farmer’s market. So I’m not crediting myself for it, beyond noting that it’s not going to work going forward. That’s useful information, at least.

55. Take a photography class.

I’m registered for Digital Photography I at the Emory University Center for Lifelong Learning. It starts July 6.

80. Visit the beach on Christmas Day each year.

I asked for some suggestions and, based on both those and the research I did myself, had pretty much decided to go to California’s Central Coast this December. However, a couple of recent events have caused me to question whether the trip would be a good idea. I’ll make a decision in late July or early August.

93. Finish at least one of the One Hundred Situations projects.

It looks like I’m going to focus on the Firefly project. I got prompt #11 written, and I have the basic premise for #12. I just need to work out the details.

97. Make one substantive blog post per week for 26 consecutive weeks.

I have to re-set to zero on this one. However, I started writing posts again last night so I’m set to start over with the coming week.

101. Post progress each Saturday.

Well, here we are — even if I am writing this Friday night. :)
